Job description

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Supply Chain Manager (Warehouse Business Process Specialist) for our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client based in Breda. Initial 12-month contract, with possibility of extension. This is a hybrid position, where you have to be at least one day per week onsite.

Accountabilities

  • Optimize localized warehouse processes by driving standardization across Warehouse network.
  • Design, map and document business process flows in coordination with the Business Process Owner (BPO) and Business System Owner (BSO).
  • Own and maintain warehouse business process flow documents in our client's DMS.
  • Drive business tasks during planning, requirements gathering, design, build, test, migration, training and deployment of warehouse systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure uninterrupted production and supply driven by Warehouse business processes and systems and optimize per READ framework over time.
  • Lead process standardization workshops with Site SMEs, BPO and BSO and other functional SMEs.
  • Map and document as-is/to-be processes as input for process and solution templates.
  • Own and maintain WH business process blueprint in our client's DMS.
  • Own, develop and document warehouse process training content and documentation, AVs, LAs, training qualifications (TRNQs).
  • Support warehouse system implementation tasks from business requirement gathering up to and including deployment.
  • Maintain strong ties with Sites, Functions, Manufacturing, GSC, DTI and other stakeholders collaborating to achieve best results for our client.
  • Independently identify opportunities and assess impact of processes, best practices, trends and events for our client's business processes and systems.
  • Showcase continuous improvement mindset to identify and deliver savings and improvements.
  • Drive results to the finish line and strive for best-in-class warehousing supporting Manufacturing and Supply.
  • Actively contribute to network collaboration, sharing and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in logistics or logistic knowledge by experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a warehousing/distribution environment, preferably in pharma.
  • SAP and WMS design and implementation experience, preferably SAP WM/EWM.
  • Managing warehouse operations and processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal & written) with stakeholders.
  • GMP and GDP knowledge.
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain, oversee processes beyond function.
  • Project management skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Warehouse process and systems understanding.
  • Business requirements and process mapping and design.
  • Problem solving and Operational Excellence mindset delivering result.
  • Deliver results through matrix and ambiguity (influencing SME).
  • Cross-functional process understanding.
  • Process mapping/visualization and design skills.
  • Distil, negotiate and communicate business requirements per strategic direction.
  • Independent self-starter, able to work autonomously, under pressure and in teams.
