Position Summary:
The Field Project Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules to support construction and engineering activities in the field. This role involves collaborating with project teams to develop detailed project plans, monitor progress against milestones, and identify schedule risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed project plans and schedules in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
* Monitor progress against project schedules and milestones and identify schedule variances and risks.
* Analyze schedule impacts of changes to project scope, resources, or priorities and develop mitigation strategies.
* Prepare schedule reports and presentations to communicate schedule status and performance to project stakeholders.
* Provide recommendations to optimize project schedules, including resource leveling, critical path analysis, and schedule compression.
* Coordinate with project teams to resolve schedule-related issues and conflicts.
* Participate in project meetings and reviews to provide schedule updates and recommendations.
* Mentor and train junior planners/schedulers on scheduling best practices and techniques.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
* Experience working as a project planner/scheduler or project controls specialist in the construction or engineering industry.
* Proficiency in scheduling software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
* Knowledge of project management principles and techniques, including schedule development, resource management, and risk analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
