Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Treasury Analyst, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Reconcile daily bank statements to cash books for company bank accounts in all currencies.
* Calculate daily cash forecast positions for consolidation into Group submission.
* Assist Treasury Analyst to record, reconcile and agree intercompany positions with fellow affiliates within the UK Cash Pooling group.
* Prepare and initiate corporate treasury Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) instructions for authorization and processing in Themis to ensure payments are made to correct bank account and by due date.
* Interface with banks when required to ensure processing issues are resolved such that payments and transfers are made as due.
* Validate bank account details and create new Themis payment templates as required.
* Provide bank account detail expertise and advice as required.
* Calculate monthly ZBA accruals for posting to SAP.
* Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for approval by Treasury Leader and Finance Director in line with SOX requirements.
* Perform all assigned SOX controls to achieve compliance and ensure they remain up-to-date and fit-for-purpose.
* Responsible for banking cash and cheques received and accounting for in SAP.
* Provide ad hoc payment and other analysis and information to Treasury Leader as required.
* Provide advice and assistance to Treasury Assistant as required.
* Deputise for Treasury Analyst when appropriate.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Graduate or part qualified accountant
* General finance/accounting experience, including SAP and relevant corporate treasury experience and knowledge of banking system.
* Able to work to strict daily deadlines
