Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of D&C HSE Advisor, based Offshore.
Responsibilities:
▪ Conducts all activities in a Safe and Effective manner and raises Safety and Environmental issues immediately and in line with Corporate Policy.
▪ Undertakes the role in line with Corporate Policy and always demonstrates behaviours in line with the company's values. Readily accepts accountability.
▪ Carries out duties in a way that maximises value, minimises waste and risk.
* Act as a challenge to ensure offshore activities comply with HSE&A related legislative requirements and company standards, systems and procedures as identified in the relevant SEMS interface document.
* Promote and support a positive HSE&A culture.
* Promote and support control of risks to health, safety, environment and process safety.
* Promote major accident hazard awareness to the workforce.
* Conduct offshore compliance monitoring on life saving rules, environmental and Well Assurance checklists.
* Participate in asset SEMS inspections.
* Support delivery of agreed HSE&A related projects/initiatives/campaigns as required by the D&C HSE plan.
* Discuss actual and potential HSE events with on and offshore teams and onshore HSE&A team.
* Participate in accident/incident investigation and provide support on Enablon database.
* Participation in periodic rig safety calls and weekly rig and third-party safety meetings.
* Provide training and coaching and deliver HSE&A presentations as required.
* Participation and input into operational risk assessments, toolbox talks, permit to work reviews, site inspections, behavioural based safety systems and other general rig processes.
* Proactive use of internal and industry incident related information to ensure lessons learned are shared with key personnel and any relevant reviews take place.
* Participate and/or witness emergency drills and oil spill response exercises, provide coaching assistance as required.
* Provide end of trip handover; including progress against agreed activities - distribute report to relevant parties.
Experience & Qualifications:
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
* Formal/Industry recognized Incident Investigation Training or Root Cause Analysis
* Offshore Survival (BOSIET) and Offshore Medical
* MIST (Minimum Offshore Safety Training)
* Experience supporting offshore D&C operational activities.
* Experience of; incident investigation, audit, monitoring & review of HSE&A Management Systems
* Thorough knowledge of UK HS&E Legislation and supporting Industry Guidance and good practice
* Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
