Great opportunity to work as an E&I Lead for an E&P Company supporting the new build delivery of a Field Support Vessel (FSV), on a Greenfield Offshore Project.

The Role:

  • The E&I Lead provides expertise within the areas of electrical, instrumentation and control systems engineering/design of systems to effectively support to the FSV delivery and on an ad-hoc basis other delivery teams where required.
  • The E&I Lead is responsible for overseeing a newbuild field support vessel is delivered meeting the technical and operational requirements.
  • It is a role that a require a candidate with not only stand-out electrical, instrumentation and control systems expertise and know-how, but also strong project management skills, commercial acumen as well as an extensive knowledge in maritime industry standards, shipbuilding and contract management.
  • The E&I Lead is responsible for monitoring all project activities and interfacing with other project personnel to always maintain a complete understanding of each area of the FSV delivery.
  • The role is based in Romania with regular visits to shipyards and equipment manufacturing sites (primarily Norway and Poland).

Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years experience from a similar role, preferable 5-8 years of which with an oil & gas operating company

The right candidate will further have proven experience within:

  • Vessel main, emergency and UPS power generation
  • Station keeping / DP systems
  • Marine systems (radar, collision systems, positioning, gyro, wind and weather monitoring, excursion etc)
  • Safety and security systems (PA/GSA, beacon, CCTV etc)
  • Radio systems
  • Onboard systems (internet, entertainment, telephony etc)
  • HVAC
  • Design of ships and/or floating drilling and production installations
  • Management principles for engineering, construction, and commissioning
  • Track record in delivering new build vessels
