Job description

Job Title: E&I Workpack Engineer
Location: Aberdeen

Key Objectives:
To play an active role in ensuring that all project HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
To ensure all work is carried out in a safe and productive manner in line with Company and Client processes and procedures.
To process safe completion of designated sub systems and systems in line with the project schedule and milestones in a consistent and timely manner
To assist in maintenance of the project budget through diligence and utilisation of efficient and working practices
Primary Duties:
To be conversant with HS&E plan and to implement the HS&E procedures ensuring the health and safety of personnel.
Assess effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personnel and team performances.
Ensure that constructability is inherent within the design by being involved at the early stage of work scope and workpack compilation / development in accordance with company and project policies and procedures.
Preparation of workpacks including TRA's, JMS, materials, Peer reviews, HAZID's, Envid's, COSHH, testing requirement, specialist tools and equipment, also identify specialists / vendors to perform identified tasks.
Develop certification matrix with design team prior to workpack issue.
Develop workscope estimates and register changes with supporting documentation.
Compile, review and develop workpacks in accordance with the implementation process, associated standards, specifications and procedures.
Ensure contents of workpacks meet with scope requirements.
Raise and obtain approval for growth job cards.
Ensure logic of work is updated on the plan and supporting systems.
Conduct offshore surveys with design team.
Address installation queries and revert with solutions.
Monitor design delivery dates.
Monitor and report on workpack progress.
Monitor ongoing activities with regards to completion dates
Check completed workpacks prior to handover, raise punch lists if appropriate. Manage / action accordingly.
Monitor punch-list closeouts after handover.
Review completion certification and 'as-build' drawings.
Identify resource requirements / materials / tools / spares / consumables / etc
Actively participate in all Company and Project Safety Initiatives.
Attend meetings, (e.g. Kick-off and daily / weekly)

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications / Certification:
Minimum ONC or equivalent in an Engineering related subject or Trade Apprenticeship with appropriate Technical Qualification
Recognised Site discipline background
Knowledge of Construction practices and procedures
IT Literate (Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc)
CompEX Appreciation
Knowledge of SBT

Desirable:
Degree educated in an Engineering related subject.
Experienced in workscope management tools.
Management NVQ level 4 / 5
Conversant with Project tender / estimating process.
BOSIET / Approved Offshore Medical / CA EBS / MIST / Onshore Safety Passport



Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:
Demonstrable experience in similar role or position in Oil and Gas Construction
Delivery focused with proven experience in achieving Project goals whilst maintaining high standards in HSEQ at all times.
Extensive knowledge of the Construction process, its implementation and management. Fully conversant with Project management tools
Experienced in the production of detailed procedures / documents / reports.
Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of teamwork.
Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices / procedures
Able to deliver training to personnel within the Construction team - commitment to develop team members.
Able to interface and interact with Management and Client representatives at all levels.
Detailed understanding of modern planning systems and their use in the execution of Construction as well as Project work scopes
Detailed knowledge of the Construction process and associated systems
Detailed knowledge of Permit to Work systems.
