Plater/ Fabricators
Permanent
Location - Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Rates - £27.12/hour - OT1 £37.97/hour - OT2 £48.82/hour
Benefits - Accommodation payment, periodic rail fare home,

Orion Group are delighted to confirm we are sourcing permanent Plater Fabricators to work on the Hinkley Point C Project in Somerset. This is the biggest energy construction project in the UK, offering fantastic wages, overtime payments at enhanced rates as well as accommodation allowance, travel allowance, bonus, pension and generous holiday allowance benefiting travelling trade candidates!

This expansive Project is estimated for completion in 2031, giving the opportunity of extensive earning potential.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have one of the below qualifications:
* Level 3 Apprenticeship in Metal Fabrication
* City & Guilds Level 3 in Welding Engineering Craft Studies or Fabrication & Welding
* NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Diploma in Fabrication & Welding
* Level 3 Diploma in Marine Engineering (Structural Steelwork)
* ECITB Diploma in Fabricating Engineering Steel Structures
* Installing Engineering Construction Plant & Systems - Plating

Skills:
* Proven experience working on major construction projects
* A proven track record in Nuclear Power (an advantage)
* Possess a CCNSG Safety Passport and ideally IOSH Managing Safety Certification

Experience:

* Experience in using and interpreting fabrication drawings to develop a fabrication plan and selecting the tools and equipment required to complete the task.
* Fabrication Shop Assembly including burning and grinding
* Plating experiencer using tools to cut, prepare and shape, then fabricate and assemble plate and steelwork
* Experience with Skin casing, duct work, hangers and supports for fabrication and repair
* Experience with Quality Assurance processes




Duties:

* Working with the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.
* Interpret engineering drawings into fabrication plans, selecting necessary tools
* Cut, shape and assemble steel plates and components
* Install and join plate and structural materials
* Perform burning, grinding and other fabrication tasks
* Ensure work meets or exceeds contract specifications


Successful candidate will need to satisfy BPSS Security Clearance Process.
