Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Facilities & Services Lead on a contract basis. The position will be based in Afungi on a rotational basis 28/28.

Activities
* Inspire safety commitment in Client and all Contractors and Subcontractors teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across works to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
* Develop a team spirit, foster teamwork, and build trust within the team. Encourage suitable personal and professional development.
* Work collaboratively and establish proactive engagement with other members of the project management team focusing upon logistics execution, logistic and expediting methodologies and planning to accomplish project objectives
* Support the development and implementation of the Company Project Logistics strategy
* Build relationships with Company onsite EPC Contractors and Sub-Contractors
* Monitor and report on the performance of the Contractors Logistics implementation strategy
* Engage with key stakeholders to develop and/or review Logistics Plans, procedures and processes. Verify compliance to Contract requirements and inform project management of major findings
* In conjunction with the Logistics / Ground Transport Manger ensure that Logistics Operations and Services meets the needs of the business
* Evaluate and report on any non-conforming requirements and help manage through to resolution
* Prepare weekly reports and consult with project control personnel on dashboards and reporting requirements for the works.
* Coordinate with C&P and Construction team, define and coordinate logistic / expediting related information
* Participate / lead logistic / expediting related workshops amongst peers to gather improvement initiatives and lessons learned opportunities
* Ensure site services is executed by all Contractors and Subcontractors as per Project's requirements and standards
* Implement zero change policy on the project unless it is demonstrated that unsafe and inoperable.
* Approve camp management procedures and operational land and air transportation procedures
* Prepare to annual budget preparation, when required, liaising with Cost control.
* Analyse and report performance of all Contractors and Subcontractors activities, identify any deviations/risks and contribute to timely propose mitigations to Project Management Team
* Assist to gather and validates 'lessons learnt' from all project team and provides feedback

Qualifications/Experience required
* Education: Basic Engineering or equivalent
* 10 years' experience in logistics operation and camp management as supervisor / superintendent and a suitable general knowledge in oil and gas industry
* Full understanding of areas critical to the success of large complex projects: safety, environmental, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and reputational risk.
* Strong HSE culture and safety leadership, effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence critical decisions.
* Strong English written and verbal communication skills required. Portuguese or French is advantageous.
