Job description

Our client, a leading provider of innovative solutions and services to the aquaculture industry, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete installation, repair, servicing, and support of a diverse product range, ensuring high-quality service and support at all times.

There will be a requirement to travel to customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional opportunities for international travel to countries where the company has a presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance on a comprehensive range of products, including camera systems, fish feeding systems, underwater lights, power infrastructure systems, and net cleaning systems.

  • Cultivate strong, lasting customer relationships through effective communication and responsive support.

  • Maintain accurate records of service work, parts used, field reports, and other documentation.

  • Deliver on-site training to customers, ensuring they are fully equipped to use products effectively and safely.

  • Provide telephone and remote support, including out-of-hours assistance, to address urgent customer needs.

  • Offer technical support to the sales team, assisting in the promotion and understanding of products.

Required skills and experience:

  • Strong background in industrial electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems

  • Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, or mechanical equipment

  • Familiarity with test and measurement instruments relevant to your area of expertise

  • Hands-on experience in field servicing and repairs, with a basic understanding of technical equipment beyond your primary specialisation

  • A valid full driving license is essential

  • A recognised technical apprenticeship or HNC/HND in electrical or electronic engineering is highly desirable
