Job description

We have a new opportunity for a HSEQ Engineer to join our client, a major energy comapny, on a permanent basis in their Basingstoke office (hybrid).

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to HSEQ department activities including:
  1. Support the engineering project in managing the Project Quality Management System.
  2. Assist other companies with HSE Management Systems.
  3. Monitor compliance with corporate and project QHSE requirements and applicable local regulations.
  4. Participate in audits related to management systems standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  5. Assist with corporate reporting for the UK branch and other associated companies.
  6. Ensure alignment of procedures with corporate requirements.
  • Provide administrative support within the department, including assistance with the Company Library, Archive, and procurement processes for the QHSE department.
  • Support General Services related to HSE compliance of the building.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Understanding of QHSE systems and tools.
  • Experience in maintaining and operating management systems according to standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Training as an auditor for at least one of the following accreditations: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 (desirable).
  • Experience in the Energy sector (desirable).
  • Experience in QHSE Project support (desirable).
  • Knowledge of UK law and regulations (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Facilities/Building Maintenance activities (advantageous).
  • Strong ability to maintain accurate and reliable records.
  • Excellent prioritization skills while remaining focused on responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team and to learn on the job.
  • Adaptability, self-motivation, and agility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people at all organizational levels.
  • Stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree level, ideally in a relevant subject such as Engineering or Quality Management.
  • Professional accreditations would be advantageous.
