Job description

Our client is seeking an Industrial Carpenter (Journeyman preferred with experience in concrete formwork to join their team for an exciting opportunity in the oil and gas sector. Position Overview:

As a Carpenter Journeyman, you'll play a key role in:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints for formwork projects.
  • Constructing and installing formwork systems to meet project specifications.
  • Ensuring high-quality results for the client.
  • Leading by example in safety compliance and promoting a culture of zero incidents on site.
  • Mentoring and guiding the team while maintaining positive relationships with co-workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct and install formwork systems (Camlock system), grade beams, and framing.
  • Review plans and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality and safety while working independently.
  • Promote a zero-incident safety culture in line with corporate safety policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Journeyman Carpenter or 4th Year Apprentice.
  • Experience in formwork, framing, grade beams, and survey/layout is an asset.
  • Safety Certificates such as CSTS, First Aid, H2S, Fire Extinguisher.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
