We have a current opportunity for a People & Operations Manager on a permanent basis with an exciting Solar start-up. The position can be based anywhere in the United Kingdom.
Our client is a UK wide solar design and installation company that is owned by a manufacturer of solar inverters and battery systems. Their mission is to empower homes and businesses with innovative, eco-friendly energy options while creating a workplace culture that values growth, collaboration, and impact.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic People and Operations Manager. This critical role will oversee both human resources and operational functions, ensuring our client's workforce and processes align with their ambitious goals. As a key player in their leadership team, you will help shape the organizational structure, foster a high-performing team, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
* Recruitment and Workforce Development:
o Manage end-to-end recruitment processes to attract top talent.
o Oversee onboarding and training programs to build a skilled, motivated workforce.
* HR Policies and Compliance:
o Develop and implement HR policies aligned with organizational goals.
o Ensure compliance with labor laws and UK employment regulations.
* Operational Logistics:
o Manage operational logistics, including warehousing, inventory control, and vehicle leasing.
o Optimize workflows to support seamless operations.
* Employee Engagement and Performance:
o Implement systems to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
o Monitor and support performance management initiatives.
* Cross-Departmental Coordination:
o Work closely with other departments to ensure operational efficiency and effective communication.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in HR and operations management, ideally in a startup environment.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* In-depth understanding of UK employment laws and HR best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
