Job description

Orion Group are sourcing a Lead Electrical Engineer for a Major Operator on a large-scale LNG Project. This is a 12-month contract role based in Milan, Italy during engineering phase and then relocation to site during construction activities at engineering completion.

The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the LNG project Electrical team. The position is required to manage detailed Electrical engineering execution centres and technical development of the Project. The Lead Electrical Engineer will manage an organization of approximately 3 personnel (70 EPC Contractor team).

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure implementation of proper design for Electrical Engineering of the Project.

  • Lead the Electrical team in the overall Engineering organization.

  • Lead the Electrical team during field activities.

Qualifications/Experience required:

  • Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline.

  • Registration as a Charted Engineer, PE or equivalent preferred

  • Proficient in English language.

  • Fifteen (15) or more years experience in Oil and Gas and large projects, of which eight (8) years in Electrical Engineering.

  • Supervisory experience related to plant and project engineering with increasing size and responsibility.
