Job description
We have a current opportunity for a Lead Project Controls Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Milan - Italy on a residential basis.
Activities
Responsibility for Co-ordination of Project Control activities including:
* Support of Project Controls Team and its actions, process, procedures and deliverables. Including schedule, cost, risk and change control through effective management and reporting
* Maintain effective project controls, including cost, budget, schedule, and progress tracking.
* Maintain risk management processes for effective project risk management
* Maintain reporting criteria, content, and format for all Onshore reporting requirements
* Monitor schedule interfaces between multiple contractors and resolve schedule conflicts.
* Ensure preparation of cost reports; are properly explained and communicated to the project team
* Ensure tracking of contingency, management reserve, and approved changes to project budget
* Co-ordination between Project Controls and C&P functions within the project.
* Deputise for Onshore Project Services Manager when required
* Provide Project Management support to General Manager for specific tasks or issues
* Promote a culture of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) awareness within the project
Qualifications/Experience required
* Education: Masters or bachelor's degree in business management or Engineering
* Experience: 10+ years of experience in major oil and gas project control
* Major Oil and Gas project developments knowledge and experience, with Partner and Government reporting interfaces
* Strong organizational ability and commitment to meeting deadlines
* Effective communication and proficient presentation skills
* Knowledgeable and experienced with cost engineering principles, schedule and planning principles and methods
