LNG Commercial Operations Specialist
We have a current opportunity for an LNG Commercial Operations Specialist with our client one of the world's leading energy companies working on their flagship FLNG project in West Africa.
The role is initially offered as a UK-based assignment and has been determined as "inside IR35" and will move to a rotational role based on the LNG Hub Terminal off the coast of Mauritania after 6 months.

Job Profile Summary
The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day production, nomination, and exports of hydrocarbons from the development in compliance with the respective agreements (FLNG Lease and Operate Agreement, LNG SPA, Seller Group Representative Agreement, Condensate Lifting Agreement, and Domestic Gas Sales Agreements).
The role will sit within the Production Management Squad, reporting to the Senior Operations Specialist. The incumbent will be required to liaise directly with multiple internal and external parties including Operations and other members of the Production Management Squad, the FLNG Terminal Operator, Gas Marketing, Partners, various government agencies, and other third Parties.
Diplomacy, good communication skills, and discretion are key behavioral requirements required to operate successfully within this role along with a conscientious and rigorous approach to managing both technical and commercially critical activities.
Key Accountabilities
Duties will include but are not limited to:
* Coordinate requirements under the Seller Group Representative Agreement and execute instructions on site on behalf of the Commercial Committee.
* Ensure effective, timely, and efficient administration of the day-to-day contractual communication requirements, such as nominations, notifications, and reporting under the commercial agreements.
* Development of monthly production plans and offtake schedules
* Management of coordination of the forecasting processes and responding to contractual notices relating to these processes.
* Management of unplanned shutdown communications/notifications.
* Work with the Operations, Subsurface, and Marine teams, regarding changes required to meet and where required mitigate, issues related to the delivery of the Annual and Specific Delivery Plans under the LNG SPA.
* Ensure compliance with L&OA, SPA, DOM Gas, and Condensate Lifting Agreement specification requirements and monitor delivery compliance.
* Assisting with claims management (demurrage, off-spec, quality, quantity, take or pay, deliver or pay, excess port charges).
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in Commercial Operations and/or in managing commercial agreements and obligations, particularly in Gas transportation and processing and LNG/Condensate export.
Ability to react to adapting situations in a fast-paced environment.
Commercial experience in gas value chains.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with a strong performance bias and the ability to operate independently without close supervision.
Interpersonal, communication, influencing, and team working skills.
Ability to make quick and incisive decisions
Ability to prioritise tasks.
