Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Maintenance Coordinator, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to field engineers/technicians on daily maintenance activities
* Problem solve and provide solutions to faulty, ageing and obsolete equipment
* Input to offshore planning and resource scheduling
* Liaise with key clients to educate and inform them of maintenance activities
* Assist in the creation of work-scopes for offshore technicians and to ensure they are fully briefed
* Review trip reports, daily logs, and compile technical reports and client recommendations
* Source and purchase HVAC materials and equipment
* Deal with urgent heli-freight requests including sourcing materials and arranging heli-freight authorisation
* Use IFS (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software) to record all data related to contracts
* Interrogate client databases to extract information to schedule maintenance trips and resolve technical issues
* Liaise closely with stores personnel where materials are expected to arrive.
Requirements
* Ideally have a technical background in HVAC, refrigeration and mechanical systems
* A team player with excellent communication skills
* Be self-motivated, client focused, able to work unsupervised and use initiative to resolve problems
* Commercially aware
* Willing to travel offshore if required
* Demonstrate a personal commitment to QHSE
* Proficient with all Microsoft Office packages
* Hold a full UK Driving licence.
* Prior experience working in an offshore environment
* Broadly knowledgeable of HVAC&R components and spares
* HNC (SCQF level 6 or 7) or N/SVQ level 2/3 in HVAC, mechanical, electrical or building services engineering
* Good working knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) e.g. Maximo, SAP, etc.
* Basic knowledge of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems
* City & Guilds 2079 level 2 award in F-Gas and ODS regulations including industry experience
* Valid BOSIET, MIST & OGUK medical.
