Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Marine QA/QC Inspector based in Aberdeen.
Must be eligible to work in UK.
Responsibilities:
* Review repair workpacks and weld procedures (onshore)
* Undertake CSWIP 3.1 inspections (offshore)
* Audit subcontractor use of procedures and processes as per pre-populated audit sheets (onshore/offshore)
* Champion HSE culture within Marine SoW CSEs (offshore)
* Review close out workpacks (onshore)
* Provide onshore technical support on anomalies relating to weld defects
Experience & Qualifications:
* Valid CSWIP 3.1 or higher welding inspector certification (or equivalent)
* Proactive, team player and self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision/direction.
* Good organisational skills with focus on delivering assigned work in a timely and efficient manner
* Ability to travel offshore and enter confined spaces (70/30 split offshore/onshore)
* Technical report writing
