Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Marine Superintendent on a contract basis. The position will be based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

  • Provide ad-hoc marine technical advice and consultancy to support affiliate offshore operations
  • Support call for tender process in preparing marine related technical specifications, conducting technical analysis and making recommendations for contractor and vessel selection
  • Conduct support vessel inspections (join safety tours, technical suitability)
  • Issue local marine procedures
  • Approve all marine related operations and ensure that they are compliant with Company rules and requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise in marine related incidents investigation and crisis management.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Merchant Marine Master (unlimited tonnage / power);
  • Experience in a shore based organization of an Oil & Gas company, vessel technical operator or marine consultancy firm;
  • Knowledge of COMPANY rules will be considered as an advantage;
  • Valid OVID accreditation will be considered as an advantage.
  • Broad knowledge of the marine offshore industry and associated operations.
  • It is essential for the incumbent to be fluent in English and able to report effectively verbally and in writing.
