What is required for this role:

Mechanical Design:

  • Develop innovative mechanical designs and concepts, considering performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to validate design choices and optimize performance.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.

Materials and Manufacturing:

  • Select appropriate materials for mechanical components and systems, considering factors such as durability, cost, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be effectively and efficiently produced.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Define and implement test plans and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Plan and conduct testing and validation activities, including performance testing and failure analysis.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.

Project Planning and Management:

  • Lead the execution of mechanical engineering projects, including assisting with defining project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, and deliverables to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

What we expect:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of 5+ years as a Mechanical Engineer in designing and delivering electromechanical equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in designing Offshore Oil & Gas equipment/machines.
  • Knowledge of offshore lifting and Ex design codes and criteria.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Proficient working ability with Solid Edge design software
  • A true passion for technical innovation and designing smart solutions.
  • A willingness to bring new concepts and be willing to learn new ideas.

Nice to have experience with:

  • Ridder IQ software
  • ProFile PDM software
