Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Operations Superintendent, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate a high level of safety acumen with regards to FPSO facility daily operations
* Ensure a high level of process safety acumen is demonstrated at all times, adhering to the 8 principles of process safety leadership and therefore a continued focus on preventing major accident hazards and loss of containment
* Lead and participate in a proactive safety performance initiatives and KPl's. Provide input to the Process Safety monitoring system as required
* Provide first line Operations and Process support as required on a day-to-day basis for operational issues and other unplanned events that impact on production delivery
* Develop and review related Operations procedures for use in day-to-day operations
* Performance monitoring of production plant and associated mechanical control systems and equipment, ensuring that appropriate programmes are developed in support of Operations Plant Optimisation
* Manage the unit loss reporting process ensuring that all production losses are recorded and investigated with appropriate remedial action recommendations clearly submitted to the unit management team. Champion the 'Tripbuster' process.
* Provide discipline-based input in support of operations to any systems such as Maintenance or Verification and for all related aspects of the topsides facilities operations and for all FPSO marine systems that interface with the topsides.
* Own appropriate operational contracts relating to first line operations and production support. Ensure that these contracts effectively support the production of delivery objectives and that supporting vendors and suppliers comply with company standards i.e. Safety, Environmental and Quality Management etc
* Primary focal point for Process TA support, ensuring input to engineering design assurance activities such as HAZID/ENVID/HAZOP and isolation/ORA reviews as necessary.
* Carry out regular offshore site visits, working closely with the offshore Production Supervisor.
* Provide input to operational (28d/90d) and shutdown plans, provide direction, input and monitoring of production regarding execution and timely resolution of issues which impair operating efficiency / production
* Provide operational support to modification or study teams or projects, ensuring all plant modifications fully comply with Management of Change (MOC) procedures, Company Specifications, Standards and Procedures and expectations and are fully assessed and approved
* Provide input to the development of the operating budgets, maintain oversight of several cost codes and report accurately during monthly cost control meetings with Finance team
* Ensure UK legislative requirements and UKCS best practice are met, whilst aligning as closely as possible with Corporate HQ policy
* Identification of operational risk and mitigation of same
* Ensure uptime and availability KPI's are met
* Responsibility for monthly commercial/contractual summaries, working closely with KL finance team re submission of BBC invoices.
* Ensure use of corporate resources whilst meeting UK requirements including development of alternative options and solutions
* Maintain high level of morale and strong team spirit and ensure active participation in an HSE culture enriched by openness, sharing and trust
* Required to stand-in for offshore Production Supervisor during periods of absence.
* Perform any other tasks as reasonably required.
