Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Process Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* The purpose of the process Engineer within TOP is to support the Process Lead/ TA in delivering Safe and Reliable Operations, Maintenance and Engineering Change
* The Process Engineer role is a development role towards EA3 delegation responsibility and as such, the Process Engineer will also be supporting Process EA3s and EA2s as required and as agreed with the Process Lead
* This Process Engineer role will be based in the asset supporting the day-to-day operation of an asset under the guidance of a senior process engineer.
* Contribute to failure, production loss and incident investigation.
* Assess and express an opinion on deviations to codes, standards, practices and guidelines.
* Review Ops procedures and manuals.
* Participate in ORA's.
* Check changes to critical docs (e.g. P&ID's, Standard Operating Procedures, etc).
* Scoping up changes and Proposing solutions that address facilities risks on the risk register.
* Scoping up changes and Proposing solutions that address improvement opportunities identified by the Asset.
* Take on process engineering roles to ensure proper development and close out of MOC, feasibilities and FEEDs.
* Scope out and manage deliverables for external study work.
* Participate in a process safety ambition and hydrocarbon leak prevention plan.
* Seek out, Scope and manage deliverables for technology development and evaluation.
* Review tier 3 incidents and recognize patterns to bring to front-line engineers and technicians to improve delivery of safety critical and routine maintenance.
* Actively support an Incident Free Workplace mindset.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Experience in Hazard analysis techniques
* Knowledge in Maintenance Management Systems
* Knowledge of Process Engineering API design codes and unit sizing calculations
* Knowledge of process simulation software
* Use of PI for trend analysis
* Knowledge of the company's Standards and Procedures
* Drives innovative solutions and pace
* Effective communicator and negotiator
* MEng Chemical Engineering
* IChemE Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership
* The job holder must possess knowledge of Process and MAH practices and legislation, which would be underpinned by technical achievements in relevant discipline in the energy or chemical industry
* Knowledge of all forms of engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFDs, P&IDs Data Sheets, Cause & Effect charts and safety critical elements
* Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and applicable regulations both statutory and company specific
* All of the company's mandatory training as requested, including Compliance training usually provided annually.
