Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Production Support Team Lead, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Safety - Role-models compliance with HSE policy. Drives compliance in all areas of responsibility. Works across the business to highlight potential issues and develop appropriate solutions and policies
* Governance and Compliance - custodian of certain specific company procedures and processes within the ODMS and ensures they are complied with and remain current.
* Leadership - Manages and coaches people effectively. Provides clarity regarding expectations and supports teams and individuals to achieve these. Role models the company values at all times and encourages others to do the same. Readily accepts accountability and insists on it from others
* Financial - Has budgetary responsibility for one or more areas and manages teams to ensure the delivery of budgeted outputs and costs. Considers the commercial viability of all proposals in terms of cost, benefit and risk, and utilises resources to best effect
* Technical - Ensures Production Support team objectives are delivered in line with company safety, production, environmental and financial objectives as directed by the Asset Manager and as defined by the COO.
* Provide direct Facility Process Engineering and Measurement technical support to offshore and Support Hub.
* Develop, implement, and manage best-in-class Loss Management process for the company including quantification and capture of losses, RCA investigations, and identification and management of remedial actions.
* Develop, implement, and manage best-in-class real time and static data systems on behalf of the company.
* Develop, implement, and manage best-in-class Allocation and Measurement process for the company including ownership and management of 3rd party metering services contract, quantification and capture of mismeasurements, management of measurement audits, and allocation and production methodology and tools.
* Ensure all measurement systems are maintained per specification and are fit for purpose including all fiscal requirements.
* Identify and communicate Production and Injection bad actors.
* Ensure Process Engineering technical support is available to the company as required.
* Proactively encourage a Production Efficiency and Plant Uptime culture within the company.
* Develop and manage strong internal relationships between offshore, onshore asset peer teams, and wider business.
* Monitor performance of installed production equipment and perform process system modelling, optimisation, vulnerability assessments and debottlenecking.
* Proactively manage and maintain a comprehensive database of oil/gas production, water production/injection and production loss/deferment data.
* Travel offshore as required to deliver Production Support team goals and communicate how they relate to delivery of company objectives.
* Lead the team to produce results through effective supervision, coaching and allocation of work.
* Lead the team in order to deliver budgeted outputs and costs. Effectively manage resources within their control, minimises waste, and risk, and raise potential budgetary issues as soon as they are identified.


Requirements
* Experienced oil and gas industry professional, with experience gained in an engineering and production operations environment.
* Excellent problem solver with demonstrable track record.
* Demonstrable experience with managing design and implementation of production improvement initiatives including workflows, standards and procedures.
* Knowledgeable in the application of relevant UK oil and gas industry regulations and guidelines.
* Experienced in carrying out and facilitating engineering studies and investigations.
* Exceptional relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally.
* Knowledgeable in the areas of real time surveillance and static data systems, event management systems, data visualisation software, measurement concepts and production data storage systems.
* Demonstrable experience with potential oilfield enhancements and opportunities relating to Big Data and Digital Transformation, and it's relevance to the company.
* Proven people leader with a track record of delivery through others
* Solid working knowledge and proven application of relevant UK industry regulations relating to the oil and gas industry
* Sound working knowledge and demonstration of safe working practices
* Appropriate familiarity with quality processes and the application of continuous improvement tools desirable
* Excellent communication and coordination skills. Proven ability to interact effectively at all organisation levels and encourage a team ethos across both core team and subcontractors
* Ability to understand and respond effectively to the requirements of diverse groups and operations
* Culturally sensitive and utilises all the tools available to drive constant improvement
