Our client, a wholly owned subsidiary of a global energy company, is seeking a talented Project Coordination Engineer to join their dynamic team in Basingstoke, UK. We are committed to driving the energy transition and developing innovative projects in renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture and storage.

Role Overview

As a Project Coordination Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting engineering activities for various projects. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure project execution plans are effectively implemented and monitored, while also contributing to department initiatives and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering activities for assigned projects, ensuring design integrity and compliance with technical standards.
  • Liaise with technical authorities to ensure adherence to company standards and local regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and submit timely project status reports.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in implementing project management plans, including risk, interface, and change management.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSEQ processes.
  • Travel as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Preferred technical background in the energy industry, with experience in project development from concept to detailed engineering.
  • Proficiency in engineering principles and ability to provide technical support.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of technical codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage risks, handle uncertainties, and make informed decisions.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement processes.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
