Job description

Contract Length: 18 months

Location: Aldermaston - 2 days per week onsite

IR35: Inside

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver assigned projects in accordance with requirements, operational constraints, time, cost and quality.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team at a local level to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely to meet our operational plans.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects with focus on Governance (compliance and reporting).
  • Management of project resources (people, money).
  • Lead the planning of the task/project.
  • Manage work as defined in the Work Authorisation Document (WAD).
  • Lead, support and initiate change against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
  • Lead, initiate and perform risk and opportunity identification and subsequent actions.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Qualifications: Prince2/MSP/APM etc
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Technology used is Primavera P6 but knowledge of this (Desirable). As PM would need to interpret and read the schedule, not create and maintain it
  • No nuclear background/knowledge needed, in fact prefers them not to have this. (Although knowledge of government approvals would be favourable)
  • Accredited project manager with experience in delivering end-to-end project management
  • Experience in complex transformation and business change - (Desirable),
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement at all levels both internal and external including other government departments, and supply chain
  • Comfortable with working with ambiguity
  • Experience in project governance, planning, financial and resource management
