Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Project Manager on a permanent basis with an innovative provider of drone inspection services for the wind industry. The position will be located in the UK on a remote basis.

Objectives of this Role
* Build and nurture high-performing project teams by providing clear purpose, direction, and motivation. Coordinate effectively with operations managers, pilot teams, and customers to maximize performance.
* Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation strategies
* Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they meet their scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
* Coordinate internal and external resources to keep projects within scope and on schedule. Collaborate with project staff from various functional departments to ensure seamless execution.
* Regularly analyze project progress and, when necessary, adjust scope, timelines, and costs to ensure adherence to project requirements.
* Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes to ensure transparency and client satisfaction
* Participate in and assist with business development activities, including customer site visits, trade shows, and conferences, to promote our services and identify new opportunities.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain processes to manage project scope throughout the project lifecycle. Set project quality and performance standards, and assess and manage risks across multiple projects.
* Prepare, review, and manage complex project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and standards. This includes writing, editing, and maintaining documents such as safety protocols, regulatory compliance documents, and client reports.
* Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards. Interpret and apply these regulations to guide project planning and execution, ensuring all project activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external resources, including third-party vendors and service providers.
* Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency
* Report project outcomes, progress, and risks to appropriate management channels. Escalate issues as necessary based on project work plans.

Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in the wind energy industry or renewable energy sector.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate issues effectively internally and maintain positive client relationships. Experience in managing customer relationships to overcome operational challenges.
* Strong proficiency in preparing and managing complex documentation. Ability to write, edit, and review project documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and regulation compliance.
* Solid understanding of industry regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them to project planning and execution.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Preferred and Qualifications
* Previous success in project management within drone technology, SaaS platforms, or O&M services.
* Experience in developing and implementing processes that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project. Familiarity with developing in-house platforms for internal processes is a plus.
* Demonstrates ability to coach, mentor, and develop project teams, fostering professional growth and high performance.
* Experience working in a multicultural environment and the ability to navigate cross-cultural communication effectively.
