Project Operations Manager
Location: Sutton, London
Our client is a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry. A company who are dedicated to making offshore energy transition possible through commitment to lower-carbon oil and gas and support for renewables and emerging energy.
About the Role:
As a Project Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of overall project operations, ensuring adherence to planning constraints, cost envelopes, and project quality requirements. You will coordinate both marine spread and onshore operations during project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the safe and efficient execution of onshore and offshore operations.
* Ensure compliance with Group & Project processes regarding Security, Safety, Health & Quality.
* Manage the readiness process for onshore and offshore operations.
* Build and administer the offshore schedule, defining the overall logic, identifying the critical path, and managing floats and contingencies.
* Track vessel performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Select and manage the marine spread for offshore operations.
* Define the scope of work for each vessel and coordinate with operational personnel.
* Plan and manage onshore operations personnel.
* Ensure the marine spread assurance through surveys and audits.
* Drive early engagement with vessels to ensure crew contribution to the installation methodology.
* Liaise with Pipeline Group and Installation Engineers to ensure product installation and methodology alignment.
* Define the transportation philosophy and strategy.
* Support installation feasibility and reviews.
* Review and comment on Operations MDR and contribute to Installation Engineering documents.
* Support installation engineers with vessel changes and sequence changes.
* Support Engineering in identifying and reviewing tasks and time estimates.
* Liaise with Installation Engineers and Pipeline Group to develop installation procedures.
* Define SOW for Subcontractors / Vessel Owners and monitor SCM selection.
* Prepare the SIMOPS plan.
* Identify key Operations deliverables and support effective tender submission.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in sub-sea construction is required.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Project and building offshore schedules.
* Experience in offshore operations, having worked on installation vessels.
* Skilled in coordinating multiple interfaces across functions.
* Excellent work ethic, "go get it" attitude, and ability to work in changeable environments.
* Mobility to travel to international locations.
* Fluent in English. Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
