Job description

We currently have multiple vacancies available for Cruise Assistants to support our Invergordon based Client throughout their busy cruise season between April and October.

Reporting to the Operations or Cruise Co-ordinator, as a Cruise Assistant you will be promoting a safe working environment for all employees and facility users and also be responsible for co-ordinating and communicating with site users to support the welfare of cruise operations.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting the cruise function; acting as steward for passenger arrivals and departures

  • Monitoring safe areas and assisting with coordination of all facility users

  • Some manual handling duties including lifting/ manoeuvring/ carrying barriers and other articles in order to fulfil Health, Safety & Security requirements

  • Providing general support for the cruise function

  • Flexibility (available to work shifts on a rotational basis, and to provide leave cover when required)

  • Health and safety awareness

  • Previous experience is not essential however would be advantageous

Hours of work:

Working 4 days on /4 days off rota, 12-hour shifts (1-hour unpaid lunch break):

07:00-19:00 - flexibility required for start/ finish subject to cruise ship requirements (additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the business including early and late finishes to accommodate cruise ship arrival and departures)

Additional requirements:

  • Valid full UK driving licence

  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure once accepted to start (cost of the disclosure will be reimbursed)

  • Expected start date: 24/03/24
