Job description

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Senior Associate Supply Chain (GMP) (Senior Associate Data Analytics) for our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client based in Breda. Initial 12-month contract, with a high possibility of extension. This is a hybrid position, where you have to be at least 2 days a week onsite.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting (performance/budget) for GDH EMEA, aligning with broader strategy and requirements.
  • First point of contact for any ERP system support and enhancements (operational support, incident management, training, change requests, system testing, etc.), within GDH EMEA organization.
  • Work with stakeholders to investigate use of automation to enhance business processes, increase efficiencies and drive OE.
  • Lead in the development of new tools/reports/systems for new opportunities, data-driven decision making, and visualization in support new business and growth.

Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for optimization.
  • Leverage this data to drive effective decision-making and elevate issues.
  • Accurate and up to date understanding of latest market trend in database management, insights visualization and analytical tools. Staying abreast of digital trends in automation, AI/ML, RPA, data analytics.
  • Develop process solutions to a variety of business problems of medium scope and complexity enabling innovation and automation.
  • Ownership of month end closing activities/process.
  • Participate in and contribute to global ERP and business improvement projects as order to cash system SME.
  • Drive Continuous improvement in functional area.
  • Collaborate and steer data and system projects, serve as first point of contact with the business/requester.
  • Support on business cases to identify requirements for digital solutions.
  • Define and (co)create automated interactive dashboards and tools that turn data into business insights.
  • SME on data collection, cleaning, processing and visualization.
  • Lead in ERP operational support and troubleshooting to ensure continued operations.
  • Trainer for relevant ERP processes; ALM tester.
  • Ensures that all relevant Supply Chain systems and activities are in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. GDP, GMP, SOX).

Required Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain / Logistics / Business or Data Analytics / Computer Sciences or Life Sciences.
  • 3 or more years of related professional experience.
  • Experience in a data science, data analyst, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable roles.
  • Experience in supply chain roles and solid understanding of supply chain management principles and interest in working on complex challenges.
  • Tableau and/or Smartsheet and/or PowerBI development/visualization experience including designing and developing reports and dashboards
  • Working experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g. GDP).
  • Ability to bridge functions, particularly technical and non-technical worlds.
  • Strong problem solving, storytelling and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical details in an easy-to-understand language for the business owners.
  • APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication skills and Stakeholder management.
  • Excellence in working with MS Office and advanced excel capabilities including use of pivot tables and macros.
  • Ability to communicate and provide meaningful business insights from data.
  • Experience working/trouble shooting in SAP Order-to-Cash module and SAP TM (or similar ERP systems).
  • Ability to translate user requirements into system functionality.
