Job Duties and Qualifications
The role of Sustainability Reporting Senior Accountant will support the company’s Sustainability Reporting group by ensuring that the company is well positioned to comply with sustainability related regulatory requirements (EU CSRD, ISSB, SEC, etc.). This position will support the company’s efforts to establish and maintain a strong control environment for sustainability reporting.


Job Duties

  • Interpret and apply company policy and controls as it relates to sustainability reporting.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of general accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, and financial applications.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and research sustainability reporting requirements and peer reporting.
  • Stay current with emerging sustainability regulations and assist with preparing stakeholders for new data requirements, controls, and reporting.
  • Support Halliburton in driving the education, communication, and implementation of the sustainability reporting requirements across the company.
  • Participate in multi-functional teams and work with subject matter experts across company to collect data metrics and review methodologies that describe the data collection process.
  • Assist with preparing non-financial disclosures and various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor non-financial information and KPIs to ensure completeness and accuracy on ad-hoc/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Perform complex reporting activities by running reports, analyzing outputs and organizing data for presentation purposes.
  • Identify gaps in processes and controls and suggest improvements when applicable.
  • Facilitate requests from internal and external audit.
  • Maintain timeline adherence and possess clear communication skills.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, or related roles.
  • Requires completion of an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles.
