Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Contract Engineer on a contract basis.

The position will be based in Abu Dhabi - UAE with site visite to Ira

The job holder mission during FEED phase is as follow:
 Management of the preparation of the relevant EPC Contract(s) and associated contracts in close coordination with the Engineering Manager, Package Manager/Leader and discipline engineers.
 Issuance and follow-up of the Call For Tender to all bidders including coordination of the bidders qualification.
 Assessment of all tenders and preparation of the recommendation to award to internal Committee and external stakeholders.
 Presentation on behalf of the Project to the various internal and external stakeholders of the CFTs' results, as necessary and as per the procurement procedures.
The job holder mission during Execution phase is as follow:
 Administration on a daily basis of the Contracts in his/her portfolio till project close out.
 Preparation and presentation on behalf of the Project to the various internal and external stakeholders of the Variations, as necessary and as per the procurement procedures.
 To protect CPY in all contractual activities (including Variation management) in order to avoid any claim; and assist in any claim resolution with the Contractors.
 Mentor the Contract team, especially if any secondees are assigned to the Contract Team.
The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating individually an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements. The job holder shall observe and shall impose strict confidentiality of data all along the course of the Project.


The job holder reports hierarchically to the GMP Contracts & Procurement Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1) Mandatory experience in a similar position: mini 15 Years of EPC Contracts Management (FEED / Execution phases).
2) Degree: Legal counsel, Engineer (or equivalent formal qualification) or Management School.
3) Arbitration and Dispute experience required.
4) Experience in Oil & Gas Industry with similar large scale projects & environment on onshore/offshore grass root or green field projects.
5) Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment. 6) Good interpersonal and communication skills.
7) Language: English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing), French and/or Arabic language is a plus.
