Senior Solar Operations Manager

ACTIVITIES:
- Enforce Total Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy in all his/her responsibilities and ensure that external third parties (O&M/EPC contractors, vendors, consultants.) operate in a manner acceptable to HSE standards.
- Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance and administrative activities for multiple solar generation sites mainly in Texas
- Supervise site personnel including O&M contractors and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to and compliance with contract terms, corporate policies and best industry practices.
- Utilizes Asset Performance Software to evaluate plant technical performance, analyze production losses and propose preventive/corrective action plans.
- Perform monitoring and report operating performance.
- Support to commissioning activities and taking the new sites from construction to commercial operations: equipment testing, EPC punchlist review, Ercot checklist, NERC GO program, etc Maintains good relations with landowners, suppliers, customers, vendors, service providers, governmental authorities, and contractors.
- Support design and execution teams to review design drawings and engineering deliverables from EPC contractors to improve future operational performance.
- Manage the collection, organization and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external third-party stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of internal operating policies, standards, and procedures.
- The position consists of 50% work indoors and 50% work outdoors, outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Undergraduate Degree in engineering or technical diploma/high school diploma and ten (10) years' experience in a related industry
- At least five (5) years previous experience in supervision of technical, O&M personnel in Solar
- At least 10 years of operations and maintenance experience
- In-depth knowledge of solar power generating equipment and technologies.
- Experience with and knowledge of GO and RE functions of current ERCOT standards, operating policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Strong proficiency with Scada software's, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, - Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat
- Experience on Energy Storage and wind renewable energy a plus.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of leading efficiently and outperforming assigned objectives.
- Familiarity with the content of PVSYST a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive level reporting that ensure timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenarios.
- Willingness and ability to travel 30-50%, on average.
- US work permit and valid U.S. driver's license
