Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Charleston, WV
Temp-to-Perm
Overview
The successful Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for analysis and design of structures and their foundation that comply with ASCE, AISC, IBC, and ACI.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design steel and foundations for pipe rack, structure, equipment support and tall framed structure. Prepare structural detail design that complies with AISC and ASTM standard.
Lead the sole project and can direct the design requirements.
Review and check the drawings and direct the designers as required.
Demonstrate a strong background in discipline work and a strong understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
The ability to coordinate between different disciplines and offices is the must and if required must be able to coordinate with the clients.
Review design specifications, project construction, installations, technical support, and evaluations.
Functional: Reports directly to the Project Engineer or Manager.
Administrative: Reports to C/S Engineering Design Manager.
Subordinate Interface, coordination and cooperation includes, but may not be limited to: All Engineers and Designers.
Technical and Industry Experience:
Minimum 7+ years experience in civil/ structural engineering.
Texas PE license preferred
Familiar with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC and PIPs.
Capable to interpretation of Civil/Structural drawings.
Proficiency in civil/structural software such as STAAD Pro, RISA 3D.
Familiar with Tekla, Navisworks, AutoCAD and Office tools.
Ability to lead mid-size projects.
Creative in engineering design and calculations.
Balanced, patient, helpful and comfortable with following job requirements.
Ability to communicate and work with others.
Ability to direct C/S designers and engineers as required.
Represents best interest of Worley.
Required:
Minimum 4 years bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
Minimum 4 years' experience as Sr. Engineer.
Preferred:
7+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering.
