Position Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for equipment or systems at customer locations. This role involves troubleshooting issues, ensuring equipment functionality, and delivering high-quality customer service. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of maintenance experience, with a strong background in troubleshooting processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation & Setup

    • Install and set up equipment or systems at customer sites according to specifications and safety standards.
    • Perform initial tests and calibrations to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
  2. Customer Support & Project Management

    • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and inquiries.
    • Educate customers on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
    • Ensure minimal disruption to customer operations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  3. Technical Assistance

    • Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
    • Collaborate with technical support teams or engineers for complex problems that require additional expertise.
  4. Compliance and Safety

    • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations.
    • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and environmental standards.
  5. Inventory Management

    • Manage and maintain necessary tools, parts, and equipment for service calls.
    • Order replacement parts and supplies to ensure availability for future service needs.
  6. Training and Development

    • Stay up to date with technological advancements and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.
    • Attend company-provided training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Success Factors:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a field service technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of twin-shaft concrete mixers or similar rotating equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative and solve complex problems independently.
  • Strong task orientation and a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • This position involves frequent travel to customer locations, with long hours and occasional overnight stays.
  • Field Service Technicians must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments.
