Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Stores Person, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Work in accordance with the company's quality management system and Safety policies
* Ensure all goods received match purchase orders and delivery notes and provide inspection to ensure free from damage, in accordance with company procedures.
* Liaise effectively with the Stores Foreman and Onshore Services Supervisor to ensure work requirements are achieved.
* Ensure all Inventories are up to date and accurate (Client owned, company owned, Rentals, Workshop parts).
* Use forklift and Overhead crane, as needed, to safely move goods. Training will be provided.
* Pack and manifest containers. Pallets and general load outs
* Ensure all material documentation/records are kept up to date and accurately on the company's database and ERP system
* Ensure all lifting certification is in date for containers and shipments.
* Ensure all paperwork for customers is completed, emailed if required, and a copy placed in the relevant container or on goods.
* Update various registers, as needed, including container movement, rental etc.
* Work closely with internal departments to enable effective stores provision, stock control and accurate invoicing.
* Prepare dangerous goods paperwork for shipments as required. DG training can be provided.
* Work effectively with Operations Support staff to ensure client requirements are met.
* Participate in Services on-call rota
* Liaise effectively with the QHSE department to ensure all safety requirements of work carried out are met.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
* Picking and preparing jobs for workshop
* Conducting and participating in internal and external audits and stock takes as required.
* Pro-actively contribute to the 5S and tagging policies.
* Liaise with internal and external customers to arrange and co-ordinate material movements.


Experience & Qualifications:
* Competence in all aspects of the stores and logistics operations.
* Good communication and writing skills.
* Good organisational skills.
* Good understanding of IT systems
* A thorough understanding of tooling and spares required for offshore and onshore work.
* A thorough understanding of regulatory offshore and onshore certification
* A good understanding of logistics and equipment.
* A willingness to adapt to client's requirements and operating policies.
* Must have a valid driving licence and a valid forklift licence.
* Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative.
* Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
