Our client, a leading provider of skilled and diverse workforce solutions to the maritime sector, is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to lead their efforts in the Offshore Wind industry. This pivotal role involves growing and maintaining key client relationships and driving business development in this rapidly expanding sector.

Role Overview

The Strategic Account Manager will manage all business development and account management activities in the offshore wind sector. As the primary point of contact with key clients, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring successful project delivery through collaboration with internal teams. This role requires strong industry knowledge and excellent communication skills to support the company's expansion into this dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key offshore wind clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their objectives and challenges.
  • Business Development: Identify new opportunities for growth within existing accounts and support the acquisition of new clients, working closely with sales and business development teams.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop customised account strategies that align with client objectives and long-term business goals, and create plans to maximise retention and business performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for decision-makers, from engineering teams to C-level executives, ensuring open communication and trust.
  • Project Oversight: Coordinate internal teams to ensure successful project delivery that meets client expectations and deadlines.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep up to date on trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the offshore wind sector, offering insights to inform strategy.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure mutually beneficial agreements while safeguarding the company's interests.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor satisfaction levels, proactively addressing any issues to improve retention and client experience.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular updates to senior management on account performance, using data to adjust strategies and improve outcomes.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
  • Experience in account management, business development, or sales, ideally within the offshore wind, renewable energy, or maritime sectors
  • Proven experience managing high-value accounts with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the offshore wind industry, including key players and regulations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans
  • Willingness to travel as required
