Position: Subsea Project Engineer
Location: Major Projects Premises (QATAR) or Contractor’s Premises (dependent on EPC phase execution plan)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea Project Engineer to lead technical and coordination activities for the execution of subsea cable scopes, crossings, interfaces, and related systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of engineering deliverables, managing interfaces, and driving coordination efforts across various disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders.

This project involves the development of new offshore platforms, subsea pipelines, and integration of complex systems. Execution will occur across multiple international sites, requiring effective coordination and interface management in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of engineering deliverables, managing interfaces, and driving coordination efforts across various disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
HSE Leadership:
- Uphold and demonstrate exemplary HSE behavior and implement all relevant HSE rules and requirements within your area of responsibility.
- Define, implement, and manage scopes, procedures, and engineering solutions for subsea cable installations, crossings, and associated systems.
- Oversee technical aspects of the project, including design, analysis, and interface management.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards by reviewing contractor documentation and addressing technical and quality queries.
- Provide field engineering support during construction activities.
- Collaborate with company and non-company entities to ensure successful project execution.
- Interface with other project engineers and discipline specialists to align on design, schedule, and budget.
- Manage 3rd party interactions, securing necessary No Objection Letters (NOLs) and approvals.
- Support project readiness by preparing and participating in audits and review sessions.
- Organize and attend technical interface meetings, workshops, and HAZID/HAZOP sessions.
- Expedite deliverables and ensure documentation quality during all phases of project execution.
- Address and resolve technical queries, ensuring minimal disruptions to project schedules.
- Develop and maintain interface agreements to manage interdependencies effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong professional experience in engineering and project management.
- Expertise in subsea cable design, installation, interface management, and associated systems, including J-tube pulling and shore pulling.
- Familiarity with contractual and wellhead platform projects is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards.
- OPITO H2S and T-BOSIET certifications are mandatory.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
