Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Subsea System Integration on a contract basis. The position will be based in Hampshire on a smart working basis (approx. 8 days a month in Basingstoke).

This is for an Energy business which performs a key role developing projects and providing expert engineering support. The company has an integrated operation office in the UK in Basingstoke.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Subsea System Integration Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The Subsea System Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in the development, testing, and deployment of our subsea systems, ensuring seamless integration of various components and subsystems. This position demands a strong background in subsea engineering, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Integration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful integration of subsea systems, including sensors, control systems, and communication interfaces.

  2. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve integration issues in a timely manner, working closely with engineering teams to implement corrective actions.

  3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to integration activities, configurations, and testing results.

  4. Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve integration processes and contribute to the development of best practices.

  5. HSE Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Subsea Engineering).
  • Proven experience in subsea system integration and design, preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of subsea equipment, control systems, and communication interfaces.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for integration and testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams.
