Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Tax Analyst, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Corporation tax compliance - preparing tax returns, claims such as group relief and R&D, responding to HMRC etc
* Tax accounting/provisioning - supporting monthly, quarterly and financial statements reporting; supporting tax transparency reporting for group reports prepared by HQ
* Tax advisory - providing advice on an an-doc basis on a range of issues as required by the business. Expected to include M&A, transfer pricing advice/documentation, review of tax clauses in legal agreements and contracts, tax instalment payment estimates, SAO, etc.
* In all cases, working with a broad range of finance and commercial colleagues, based in Aberdeen and elsewhere
* Prepare CT returns in a timely manner, to ensure submission prior to statutory deadlines
* Provide accurate and proactive tax advice in a timely manner
Experience & Qualifications:
* Relevant professional qualification - CTA, ACA, CA
* Relevant experience - role suited to newly-qualified individual
* Good knowledge of tax accounting and compliance, experience of advisory
