Job description
Our client has a current requirement for a Technical Facilities Manger to join their team on a permanent basis, based in Elgin.
As the Technical Facilities Manager, overseeing designated sites in Scotland, you play a key role in managing service delivery for Engineering operations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. You will also manage the Technical Team on a day-to-day basis, manage subcontractor relationships and provide expert advice and guidance to the Account Support Manager and other members of the Scotland North Team.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of all hard services, including statutory and mandatory tasks
- Lead the Technical Team, manage subcontractor relationships, and provide expert advice to the Account Support Manager
- Build and maintain client relationships, focusing on the Five Behaviours to enhance engagement and performance
- Implement and maintain business improvement and process improvement initiatives
- Support client and company in consolidating the Scotland North portfolio through demobilisation and asset management strategies
- Increase company's penetration into under-developed sites insofar as building the relationships with on-site client teams in order to be the first point of contact for additional works over and above contracted works.
Skills and experience
- IOSH Certificate in Managing Safety or NEBOSH
- Proven experience in building services management and M&E operations
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to all levels within Sodexo and with the client
- Evidence of client-facing experience
- People management experience, maximizing team performance in a service environment
- City & Guilds Craft Qualification Certificate in mechanical and/or Electrical
- Computer literate, numerate, and literate with excellent communication skills
- Ability to interpret and utilize financial and commercial data
- Time-flexible, adaptable to job requirements, and able to work under pressure
