UFR QA/QC Lead Engineer

Job Summary: The UFR QA/QC Lead Engineer role involves coordinating QA and QC activities and supporting the package manager on all quality-related matters for a major project in South America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and uphold exemplary behaviour regarding H3SE policies and procedures, including the implementation of H3SE rules and compliance with required training.
  • Adhere to and promote the company's Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policies, reinforcing the Anti-Corruption Program.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) by all UFR package team members.
  • Oversee the development, establishment, and maintenance of the UFR EPC and Service Contractor Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with EPC Contract requirements.
  • Enforce contractual commitments, implement the Contract Quality Plan and Objectives, and ensure all activities are performed safely, effectively, and timely according to specifications, designs, and codes.
  • Control key ISO 9001 processes such as quality audit, non-conformance management, corrective and preventive actions, KPI management, inspections, lesson learned, feedback management, calibration, testing, and technical standards management.
  • Supervise day-to-day quality activities of Contractors and monitor/review the activities of Supervisors/Inspectors during Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Service works.
  • Approve Project Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans, and other quality documents from UFR contractors, vendors, or subcontractors.
  • Identify gaps in standard quality activities versus project-specific requirements and ensure adherence.
  • Coordinate and supervise the quality system at Contractor's manufacturing sites, fabrication yards, and key sub-vendors facilities, with the assistance of local Supervisors/Inspectors.
  • Produce, finalize, and distribute Quality Dossiers and Manufacturing Record Books, ensuring all necessary certifications are completed promptly.
  • Liaise with Third Party Inspection and Certification authorities, providing guidance on timing, locations, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor, correct, and report on the Contractor's working practices and deliverables as required.
  • Actively collaborate with the Project Quality Manager, project Quality Team, and the UFR team.

Context & Environment: This role is critical in the execution phase of a major multidisciplinary project in South America, focusing on reservoir development, FPSO, and subsea production/injection systems. The project aims to maximize economic results, optimize reserves and schedules, reduce costs and greenhouse gas emissions, and maintain high technical quality and H3SE standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of UFR Products and relevant Quality regimes.
  • Significant experience in a similar role within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Fluent in French and English.
