Permanent
Location - Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Rates - ECSA pay rates, £27.12 per hour + overtime, £37.97 to £48.82 per hour + excellent benefits from day one. Accommodation allowance £302 per week (tax free) subject to retention. Periodic travel paid once per month (train fare to nearest train station).
4 day standard working week.
Orion Group are delighted to confirm we are sourcing permanent Welders to work on the Hinkley Point C Project in Somerset. This is the biggest energy construction project in the UK, offering fantastic wages, overtime payments at enhanced rates as well as accommodation allowance, travel allowance, bonus, pension and generous holiday allowance benefiting travelling trade candidates!
This expansive Project is estimated for completion in 2031, giving the opportunity of extensive earning potential.
Qualifications, one of following:
* Level 2 Welding Apprenticeship
* An equivalent Apprenticeship in a Welding discipline
* Level 2 Diploma in a Welding discipline or equivalent
* Level 2 Certificate in Welding and Engineering Craft Studies
A minimum of 3 years experience as a Welder in a relevant industry, a Trade test is required on site.
CCNSG cert will be required, willingness to obtain cert prior to starting.
Skills competence:
Experienced in TIG, MMA, Orbital TIG and/ or FCAW welding processes
Experience in the welding and fabrication of piping systems
Experience of welding different materials, e.g. stainless steel, carbon steel and duplex steels
Experience working to specific task instructions (method statements, task plans, etc)
Experience with Quality Assurance processes
BPSS security clearance will be required to work on site.
