Senior HR Operations Analyst
M-F 9am-5pm
NO C2C or Sponsorship
6-month initial contract with possible extensions
Hybrid Schedule 3days onsite required
$67-70/HR based on benefits

Orion Group is hiring a Senior HR Operations Analyst to work a hybrid position for our pharmaceutical client in North Chicago!
The Senior HR Operations Analyst is regionally based and collaborates closely with the HR Operations Manager for the region, the whole HR Operations team, but also with Global HR, Payroll, Business Technology Systems leaders, COE experts as well as external vendor partners regarding HR service delivery excellence.

2. Workday Integration and Reporting
3. Advanced Excel skills
4. Workday HCM, Workday Reporting Certification (preferred)
Senior HR Operations Analyst Responsibilities:
* Analyze, review & reconciles actual data; system utilized (WORKDAY); investigation & resolution of any discrepancies.
* Review and prepares reports and results for accuracy and completeness, including audit reports, reconciliations, etc.
* Collaborates with business to ensure accurate & complete results with meaningful variance commentary.
* Prepares results for submission to business & related areas.
* Prepares/reviews various reporting & year-end requests.
* Serves as direct contact for and supports requests including documentation of procedures, internal/external audits.
* Produce ad hoc reports as required, often combining data from multiple sources to achieve desired results
* Manages relationships between business to assure effective communications. Brokers services within Operations community on behalf of customers; coordinates system solutions.
* Analyzes departmental processes and needs, makes recommendations that are the most effective means to satisfy those needs.
* Analyzes the most complex work procedures/job methods and presents concepts to simplify those procedures.
* Help clients resolve reporting issues requiring in depth expertise in the Workday solution and in other systems.
* Develop and execute reports in Workday, and other HR systems
* Support of mass upload requests
* Quickly respond to customer escalations and address complex inquires with functional expertise
* Perform transaction or resolve issues related to HR service, which includes employee data processes, hire to retire transactions, benefits/leave processes, time and absence, payroll.
* Maintain HR data integrity by proactively conducting audits and analyzing data transactions.
* Work is performed and made with a high degree of independence and performance is judged by results obtained.
* Responsible for meeting tight deadlines in meeting these objectives.
* Works effectively with team/group to accomplish organizational goals.
* Actively participates in client or team meetings by offering suggestions.
* Manage global HR Processes and associated documentation and training.
* Maintain and author guides that are used as reference documents for customer service or managers related to the use of our HR system of record and our HR service provider.
* May participate in additional projects, including creation of job aids, vendor partner case analysis and follow-up, process mapping, or continuous improvement activities
* Focused on increasing efficiency and quality of work completed by HR Operations shared services and vendor partners
Senior HR Operations Analyst Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Prefer 5 years of HR/system experience (preferred in a complex environment).
* Workday Systems (HCM, Payroll, Integration) and reporting background.
* Experience in HCM systems and related data management and vendor management systems.
* Able to manage and coordinate external and internal partners.
* Superior communication skills (oral as well as written) and excellent interpersonal skills are critical for this position. Role requires constant oral communication (video/phone) with many stakeholders throughout the organization.
* Strong analytical, technical, computer and problem-solving skills
* Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately.
* Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite (Excel)
