Job Title - Workshop Labourer

Job Purpose
To undertake all labouring duties within the Mobile Equipment Department.
Job Description
Main accountabilities:
* As directed by the Echt Workshop Manager; Support Technicians, working within the Echt Workshop that may require assistance
* Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) as and when required
* In accordance with the Echt Workshop weekly cleaning schedule: maintain a clean and tidy working environment in all areas within the Echt Workshop (including external storage areas)
* As directed by the Echt Workshop Manager and Support Techs; carry out any low-scale refurbishments on mobile spread and base equipment
* Maintain the presence of certified rigging within the Echt Workshop facility; liaising with the EMM representatives on any identified quarantined/ defective items
* Maintain control of waste disposal in accordance with One Fleet environmental procedures and policies
* Maintain control of fluid disposal and storage in accordance with One Fleet hazardous waste disposal and environmental procedures and policies
* Maintain control oil, absorbents, oily rags and aerosols disposal in accordance with One Fleet environmental procedures and policies
* Maintain the availability of all in-date firefighting; first aid and personal protective equipment throughout the Echt Workshop designated areas (Note: such as, fire extinguishers; first aid kits; eye wash bottles; safety glasses; ear plugs etc.)
* Maintain designated bunded areas throughout the Echt Workshop (such as the oil store; paint locker and equipment areas) in accordance with One Fleet environmental procedures and policies
* Carry out collection and deliveries to/from suppliers when required
* Undertake any tasks as requested by Echt Workshop Manager
Typical background and experience required:
Essential:
* Standard secondary school education
* General labouring background
* Able to operate MHE and heavy machinery and equipment, such as a compressor, generator etc.
* Clean current UK driving license

Nice to have:
* B1 Conterbalance Forklift Certificate
* Pallet Stacker Certificate

* Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behavior
* Maintain behaviour in compliance with QHSES requirements
* Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk
* Willingness to travel to other worksites/locations
