Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Contract Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and execute the tendering process including compilation of invitations to tender (ITT) package, bid clarification meetings, bid evaluations, negotiations and completion of all (sub)contracts of a project or (sub)contracts of floating production (FP) assets.
* Ensure flow-down of client contract terms and conditions and negotiate best terms and conditions per (sub)contract and collaborate with Legal, Insurance or Tax departments.
* Organise and present (sub)contractor selections in Tender Board meetings and initiate and per-form pre/post contract award reviews and (sub)contract close-outs.
* Create contractual commitments and verify invoices in respective systems related to (sub)contracts and frame agreements.
* Ensure (sub)contractors fulfil their contractual obligations and monitor key performance indicators.
* Organise, lead or attend contract management or progress/performance review meetings with (sub)contractors/ suppliers, and write minutes or reports.
* Add value by maintaining relationships with (sub)contractors and suppliers of a project or FP assets. Act as sole focal point for key agreements, where required.
* Identify, issue and develop (sub)contract variations and amendments.
* Support Project or Asset Management in dispute prevention, resolution and claim handling.
* Undertake the timely and accurate administration and archiving of (sub)contracts and frame agreements, including contractual correspondence and maintenance of files.
* Support the company's contract owner in contractual matters towards clients, authorities and external parties.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business management or legal discipline, or equivalent by experience.
* Experience within a similar role in the offshore oil and gas sector (preferred).
* Good working knowledge of subcontracting and commercial processes from tendering, con-tract negotiations, to close out.
* Experience in supplier performance management, NCR's (preferred).
* Experience in Maximo (desirable).
