E&I Superintendent
Location: Onshore (Residential) - Equatorial Guinea
Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced E&I Superintendent to join our team in Equatorial Guinea. This is a residential position based in Bata, providing critical support to our offshore operations and maintenance activities.
As the in-country asset focal point for all electrical and instrumentation equipment, you will play a pivotal role in improving, creating, and implementing procedures to empower our offshore maintenance teams to perform effective maintenance. You will also serve as the engineering/technical onshore point of contact for any operation-related project or troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical and instrumentation technical support for day-to-day activities.
- Offer technical advice on all matters related to electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Organize and plan campaign maintenance and vendor mobilizations.
- Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interface with third-party vendors to find optimal solutions.
- Execute or assist in the commissioning or startup of E&I equipment.
- Manage and develop assigned Support Service Contracts.
- Identify recurring problems and provide solutions through root cause analysis.
- Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation.
- Provide input on materials control and routine spares.
- Support projects as needed and execute assigned E&I maintenance projects.
- Review and improve maintenance strategies and routines.
- Monitor, measure, and review significant asset performance indicators.
Key Requirements:
Behavioural Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, positive and proactive approach, problem-solving skills, strong communication and reporting skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Higher National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related fields. 10-15 years of experience in oil and gas production maintenance.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in French or Spanish preferred. Previous experience in sub-Saharan Africa and brownfield operations is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of oil and gas treatment processes, equipment, and relevant standards (API, NEC, NORSOK, IEC). Experience with HV/LV power systems, motor drives, alternators, inverters, and control systems.
Proficiency in DCS systems and programming languages (Rockwell, ABB, Emerson).
