Position: Environmental Coordinator

Position Info: Work Location:

Base Office (30 km away from the city centre)

Position Schedule: ASAP, 1 year (renewable)

Qualifications & Experience:Education:

Higher education
Work Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years of similar experience within oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of Languages: English (fluent), Azerbaijani (fluent).

Other Skills/Certificates Required:

• Knowledge of audit techniques in compliance with ISO 14001:2015 (availability of the certificate is an advantage).
• Knowledge of local Environmental legislation, international standards and main technical rules.
• Capability to manage HSE (safety / environmental) audit in order to supervise the implementation of specific procedures on worksite.
• Capability to execute workplace safety / environmental inspections.
• Knowledge of techniques and methodologies for environmental & social impact analysis, identification and evaluation
• Knowledge of environmental impact control measures (at least for spill, air, ground, water, waste, energy, GHG).
• Previous experience in safety field and HSE Assurance process is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Implement HSE management systems in operational context according to the Company HSE guidelines and standards;
• Ensure the management of all the HSE issues for the pertinent area;
• Guarantee the continuous improvement of the Company HSE Management System and compliance with the applicable legislation;
• Ensure the implementation of the HSE MS within the applicable organisation;
• Promote environmental awareness across the company organisation on the HSE MS;
• Co-ordinate the implementation of the Environmental Management Plans at site during project execution phases according to the Company Environmental guidelines and standards;
• Ensure the management of Environmental issues for the site / field;
• Promote environmental initiatives at site and project level;
• Assess environmental training needs and develop specific Environmental training programs;
• Monitor the updating status of the Environmental document system and provide for new Standards and procedures development;
• Design and plan new Environmental awareness initiatives across the organisation;
• Monitor the evolution of Environmental Legislation and supply consultancy to senior management;
• Contribute to Company Environmental external communication reports development;
• Support the HSE Management Review meetings;
• Perform environmental statistical analysis and reports as per Company requirements;
• Maintain updated mandatory legal environmental documentation;
• Perform ENVID as per Company procedure;
• Receiving/Filling/Achieving of Waste Transfer Notes;
• Conducting Risk Assessments as per request;
• Ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management System at site in compliance with Contractor and Company requirements;
• Ensure, together with the relevant technical Functions, the implementation of Company strategies for GHGs/Climate change and energy management at site;
• Manage the relevant environmental permits and monitor application;
• Develop all Specific Environmental Plans/Procedures (i.e. Waste/Chemical/Water Management Plan, etc.), and monitor implementation;
• Ensure protection of sensitive areas;
• Develop spill prevention and response plan, monitor its implementation and ensure the implementation of the environmental emergency exercises/drills program;
• Establishing an environmental monitoring and audit program applicable to all phases of operations;
• Take part in incident investigation;
• Oversee activities on a regular basis through inspections/walkthroughs/audits including also visits to offshore locations;
• Support Construction Manager/Site Manger in pollution prevention issues and collaborate with him to ensure fulfilment of all requirements;
• Monitor Subcontractor's Site activities and their compliance with Project EMS;
• Organize environmental training sessions and deliver trainings to Site workforce;
• Ensure collection and management of lessons learned and identification of opportunities for improvement; Prepare reports and statistics of the site environmental performance;
• Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the work place, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
