Job description
Position: ROV Pilot – Technician
Position Info: Work Location: Offshore Construction Vessel
Position Schedule: ASAP, 1 year (renewable)
Qualifications & Experience: Education: Higher Education in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering
Work experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in ROV industry, Piloting/technical maintenance.
Knowledge of Languages: English (fluent), Azerbaijani (fluent), Russian (is an asset)
Other Skills/Certificates Required:
• Hands-on experience of trade background as electrician, mechanic or marine engineer as entry level and knowledge of mechanical / hydraulic / electronic / electrical / control sub-systems;
• Knowledge of industry standard regulations, codes and practices related to ROV and subsea operations;
• Knowledge of and experience with diverless operations and procedures in a subsea construction environment;
• Knowledge of Equipment Engineering basics principles. Capability to interpret relevant Technical Project Documentation;
• Capability to:
- Launch and recover ROV
- Perform Terminations on all types of Umbilical
- Use Manipulator Skills
- Pilot ROV
- Survey Sensor Hook-up
- Produce dive records, video, audio and written ROV pre and post-dive checklist
- Use ROV tooling
• IMCA Log Book & Competence Certificate desired
Responsibilities:
• Carry out Subsea Remote Equipment/ROV operations, in compliance with approved specifications/operative procedures; adhere to company safety procedures and legislation relating to Subsea Remote Equipment/ROV Systems;
• Maintain and operate the complete ROV System including the ROV, TMS, winch, A-frame, etc.;
• Find faults on all Subsea Remote Equipment / ROV mechanical / hydraulic / electronic / electrical / control sub-system;
• Carry out Subsea Remote Equipment/ROV piloting and ROV manipulator operations;
• Mobilise and demobilise Subsea Remote Equipment/ROV systems on-board vessels and barges;
• Produce Subsea Remote Equipment/ROV dive logs (written/oral/video) for presentation to client;
• Assist in safe Launch & Recovery of ROV system;
• Implementation and monitoring of technical procedures;
• Contribute to Risk Assessments carried out on board;
• Participate in Company Competence Assurance Scheme;
• Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the work place, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior.
