Job Title: Lead Pipeline Integrity Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Department: Health, Safety, Environment, and Operational Integrity
Job Overview:
Our client in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Lead Pipeline Integrity Engineer to be the focal point for all pipeline integrity issues in offshore and onshore operations. This is a critical role responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS), ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of all pipeline assets. You will oversee pipeline performance standards, safety-critical elements, and lead key integrity-related activities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management in all pipeline-related activities.
- Implement and maintain the Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) in compliance with the company's Asset Integrity Management strategies.
- Act as the primary contact for pipeline integrity, corrosion control, cathodic protection, and chemical injection activities.
- Serve as the Responsible Person for Safety Critical Elements related to pipelines, ensuring compliance through regular audits, inspections, and reviews.
- Manage internal and external pipeline inspection programs, overseeing contractors and ensuring successful execution of integrity activities such as Inline Inspection (ILI) pigging.
- Analyze inspection reports, manage pipeline repairs, and liaise with external contractors when required.
- Maintain up-to-date records of pipeline integrity data, ensuring accurate data management in line with company policies.
- Provide technical support to engineering, production, and maintenance teams, ensuring safe and compliant design change approvals.
- Prepare risk assessments, rank pipeline components based on Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies, and oversee risk mitigation strategies.
- Report pipeline integrity status to senior management and stakeholders, and manage the pipeline integrity budget.
- Participate in external industry activities to stay current with best practices in pipeline integrity management.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering (preferably in Corrosion, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering). - Experience:
- Extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas pipeline industry, with a prior work in detailed offshore pipeline design.
- Hands-on experience in pipeline integrity management and engineering.
- Experience in regulated environments such as the North Sea, UKCS, or Norwegian sectors is an advantage.
- Skills:
- Proficient in data analysis, statistical analysis, and information management related to pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions based on scattered or limited information.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing detailed technical reports and presentations.
- UAE Driving License is required.
