Lead Site Technician
Providence, RI
Rotational Schedule: 14/14
Day-to-day tasks: These will be mostly offshore. However, onshore work can be expected, especially between projects.
Requirements/ Mandatory:
- Five years of relevant experience
- US resident. Preferably local to the area, as travel to/from office.
- GWO courses: Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling.
- BOSIET/HUET incl. CA-EBS
- OGUK Medical certificate incl. Chester Step
- Experience in leading/managing a crew
- Experience with crane lifting (valid certificate not required)
- Experience as a Slinger & Banksman (valid certificate not required)
Description
The Consultant must have an iPhone 6 or a newer model or a Windows Phone 8.1, which can be downloaded with the AirWatch app. The app is mandatory on all mobile devices the staff (including consultants) use to protect them from cybercrime.
The Consultant will be provided with a laptop, which must be returned to the IT department upon the end of the contract.
Responsibilities:
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the Site Technicians. Rota, timesheets etc.
- Overall daily planning of tasks and RAMS for the Site Technicians.
Assist Site Technicians BOP/OSS as required with daily tasks (subject to Site Technicians role description) e.g.:
- Managing the maintenance of the OSS- crane, davit lifting systems, and manual hoists.
- Any extra tasks are given to the Site Techs by the projects.
- Maintain list of project defects for rectification..
- Walk-downs and inspections (as directed by the Offshore Site Manager).
- Assisting SAPs with the fitting of locks and chains during commissioning.
- Servicing, repair, re-fuelling, and removal of foundation generators.
- General maintenance and inspections of mechanical OSS systems (not electrical during construction), including Helideck
- (Aviation/Temporary Navigation) if applicable.
- Planning of Davit crane operations
- Liaise with the union leader regarding the work scope for the union workers
Schedule: Rotatioaln: After the initial training (most likely Monday-Friday), the Lead Site Technicians will fall into a 2-week on/off rotation to cover everyday manning.
