Job description
Location: North Chicago, IL
Contract Length: 1 year with potential for FTE
Pay Rate: $26 (with Healthcare and 401K included at cost)
Shift: Rotating 4x12 (example week 1 work Monday - Thursday, week 2 work Tuesday - Friday, week 3 work Wednesday - Saturday and so on)
Maintenance Mechanic II
Responsibilities:
- Assist in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
- Capable of training others on tasks
- Intermediate Compute skills (MS Office)
- Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
- Assist Cross functional Teams outside of the maintenance organization
- Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
- Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
- Maintains the function of department assets to ensure production goals and quality standards are met
- Independently performs senior level maintenance work including but not limited to; machine lubrication, inspection, troubleshooting, ordering & installation of parts repair and fabrication
- Performs Preventative Maintenance on all plant equipment including air handlers, utility distribution equipment located throughout the plant. Will perform predictive maintenance where applicable
- Performs light machining work on machine lathes and milling machines, etc to make basic shafts and cut keyways, etc.
- Work as a multi-skilled tradesperson, doing electrical, pipefitting, building maintenance and/or other work on special assignments as requested by management
- Assists/participates during Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis
- Accurately documents all maintenance activity in CMMS
- Assists in ensuring that GxP and safe work policies and procedures are followed and maintained at all times in accordance with established company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Must demonstrate proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines as defined by the department skills matrix including Predictive Maintenance Technologies
- Knowledge and ability to apply proper hand tools in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of related cGMP requirement and applicable safety regulations
- Knowledge and ability to use power tools (such as electric drills, drill press, saws, grinders, pneumatic and hydraulic tools)
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales)
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Suite)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Maximo (CMMS)
- PDM/Reliability
